Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi recently revealed that his daughter contributed KSh 10,000 to victims of the anti-Finance Bill protests through the M-Changa fundraising platform.
Sudi shared this surprising news while speaking at a public event, expressing his astonishment at his daughter’s actions.
The politician explained that he was taken aback when his daughter informed him about her donation.

“I was surprised when my daughter told me she had sent KSh 10,000 to help the victims of the protests,” Sudi said.
“These Gen Z kids of mine were eating lunch and going to the protests.

One of my daughters told me, ‘Dad, this Gen Z movement is about doing good things, but some people came to destroy.
So I sent KSh 10,000 to the victims, to those who were injured and those who died.’”

Club Timba XO looted
Sudi’s disclosure came just a week after his luxurious club, Timba XO, was vandalized and looted during the demonstrations.
The protests, which lasted nearly three weeks, resulted in several deaths and numerous injuries.
In response to the tragic events, an M-Changa account was established to raise funds for medical treatment for the injured and funeral expenses for those who lost their lives.
The fundraiser aimed to collect KSh 10 million, but within eight hours of its launch, Kenyans had already donated KSh 19 million.

Sudi praised his daughter’s empathy and dedication to the cause, noting that she took action to support those affected by the violence.

“My daughter showed great sympathy and commitment to the cause,” Sudi continued.
“She didn’t just talk about it; she contributed financially to help families of the victims.
This act of kindness from a Gen Z individual highlights the compassion and sense of responsibility that many young people possess today.”
In conclusion, Sudi’s daughter’s donation exemplifies the positive actions that can arise from difficult situations. Her contribution to the M-Changa fundraiser not only provides practical help to the victims but also inspires others to show empathy and take meaningful steps to support their communities.
