Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has assured Team Kenya of ongoing government support following the 2024 Paris Olympics. In a statement, Mudavadi emphasized the government’s dedication to creating an environment that enables Kenyan athletes to excel in their sports. He expressed pride in Team Kenya’s achievements in Paris.
“As we celebrate your success, I assure you of our continued support in your sporting endeavours. The government remains committed to fostering an environment that nurtures and elevates our athletes to even greater heights.
“You have made Kenya proud, and we look forward to witnessing your future successes,” Mudavadi said on X.
Team Kenya jetted back into the country on Tuesday night. They were received by Sports Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) alongside other state officials.
Mudavadi went on to say that their dedication, resilience, and unwavering spirit have brought immense pride to the country.
He said their achievements on the global stage reflect not only their commitments but also the collective strength and potential of Kenya.
“You have inspired countless Kenyans and demonstrated the power of hard work and perseverance.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all Kenyan Athletes who represented our nation at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games,” the Prime CS said.
Mudavadi acknowledged that the country’s leadership recognizes the challenges athletes have faced to achieve their levels of excellence.
“Your victories are a testament to your unwavering determination and serve as an inspiration for future generations of Kenyan athletes,” he stated. Team Kenya secured a total of 11 medals at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, including four gold, two silver, and five bronze medals. Kenya ranked 17th overall, leading the African continent.
