The school Principal Catherine Kalonye told Ramogi FM that they had received a circular from the ministry and the Polytechnic council regarding the increment to Kshs 56,000.
She however attributes the ongoing tension to examination fever by the students adding that she spoke to the students yesterday and all their representatives were present only for them to decline exams today.

kisumuShe claimed that among the group of students who were chanting by the gate are former institution’s learners who she accuses of intending to incite the current students.

The students have further accused the principal among other things closing down school hostels, banning giving out school buses to ferry students to burials.
