Kenya Police FC coach Anthony Kimani is optimistic about his team’s readiness for their crucial CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round match against Zamalek.

The first leg is scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Nyayo National Stadium, where Police FC will look to start strong.

Reflecting on their preparation, Kimani praised their recent training sessions. “We’ve had a solid two weeks to prepare for this match since our last game against Ethiopia Coffee SC,” Kimani told FKF. He added that the players are enthusiastic and prepared to make an impact at home.

“The mood is really positive; every player is raring to go, and I’m confident that whoever gets the opportunity to represent us tomorrow will give their best to secure a result on home soil.”

This match at Nyayo Stadium is a significant challenge for Kenya Police FC, as they face Zamalek, a team with a rich history and extensive experience in continental competitions. While recognizing the strength of their opponents, Coach Kimani remains hopeful about his team’s prospects

. “We are well aware of the quality and history that Zamalek brings to this tournament. However, we’ve identified a few weak points, and that’s what we’ll look to exploit to gain an advantage.”
