Through a statement shared by the National Police Service via its X handle on Friday, November 28, 2025, the NPS confirmed intercepting a pickup vehicle ferrying weapons in Kakamega County.
Weapons cache intercepted
“Police officers in Khwisero intercepted a pickup vehicle carrying a cache of weapons, including stones and clubs, in the Munjiti area while on patrol during the Kisa East Ward by-election,” the NPS stated.
The Service confirmed that the four persons of interest were placed in custody and are awaiting processing and arraignment in court as investigations continue.
