Police recover 6 stolen camels in Samburu

Police in Samburu on Tuesday, April 4 recovered six camels and arrested bandits suspected to be behind the theft.

Police said the camels were part of the 10 livestock were stolen from a grazing field.

“Earlier today April 4, 2023, a multi- agency security team subdued suspected bandits and recovered six camels at Mpaas Area, Loikumkum Location in Samburu North Sub-County.

“The animals which were part of the ten animals earlier reported today as missing, had been stolen from a grazing field,” police said in a statement.

The six camels were positively identified and handed over to the owner.

“The multi-agency security team lauds the local community for their immense support in the said recovery,” police added.
