Polling stations in Tunisia opened on Sunday for the country’s presidential election, featuring three candidates, including one currently incarcerated. The election presents a contest between incumbent President Kais Saied, his former ally and now critic Zouhair Maghzaoui, the leader of the Chaab Party, and Ayachi Zammel, who had been regarded as a significant challenger to Saied before being jailed last month.
