Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo inspected the Kwale Stadium on Friday, which is set to host this year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Affordable Housing,” a key initiative of President William Ruto. This program is being rolled out nationwide. During the celebrations, there will be demonstrations showcasing the progress made in the affordable housing sector, alongside other national priority projects.

PS Omollo, accompanied by other government officials, reviewed the stadium’s preparedness for the event. With a capacity of over 10,000, the stadium is expected to be filled to capacity on the day.

“Since Kwale is a tourist destination, we anticipate economic growth during this period and shortly thereafter. We are also making provisions for additional accommodation,” a statement from Omollo’s office said.
