Kayole City Stars FC received a boost with new uniforms from Interior and National Administration Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, presented on Sunday at their training ground in Komarock, Nairobi. This sponsorship is part of an initiative aimed at nurturing young talent, providing economic benefits, and deterring idleness among the youth.

Speaking during the event, Michael Otieno, Coordinator of the Raymond Omollo Community Sports Initiative, explained the broader vision behind the sponsorship.

“We are implementing similar programs across various regions. This effort is designed to keep the youth engaged in positive activities, reduce idle time, and mitigate the risk of negative influences. By keeping them active in sports, we are also contributing to their economic well-being and enhancing community security,” he explained.

Kayole City Stars coach Felix Ochieng was thankful, saying much more can be achieved with such initiatives.

“We are deeply thankful for the assistance from PS Omollo. We hope that the PS can help us further by arranging for lights on the field and renovating our ground. These improvements will significantly enhance our training conditions and help us attract more sponsorship,” he said.

Kayole City Stars captain Steven Odhiambo echoed the sentiments of his coach.

“We are thrilled with the new jerseys and want to extend our thanks to our sponsors. We will continue to work hard and make the most of the resources provided to improve our performance and achieve greater success,” said Odhiambo.
