Raila Odinga’s sharp criticism of William Ruto’s government has sparked debate on his bid for an African job.

speaking in Embakasi South,he  slammed the Kenya Kwanza administration, accusing it of incompetence. He criticized certain cabinet secretaries, alleging their unsuitability for their roles and claiming Azimio would have performed better given the chance.

Raila’s unexpected attack on Ruto drew responses from Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders and supporters, with some urging the president to reconsider his support for Raila’s bid for the African Union Commission chairmanship.

Conversely, supporters of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party argued against using the AUC position to silence the opposition leader.

Aaron Cheruiyot:

“Tinga’s constituency now is African Presidents . They hold the key to his next election. He is out here insulting a man they all hold in such high regard. On election day, when they evaluate his credentials, how do you imagine it will end? Maandamano in Addis?”

Paul Mwangi:

“Firstly, I can tell you that the AU job is not a life and death deal for Baba. He would not sell his soul for it. Secondly, I wish you knew how many Kenyans out there are so unhappy about the AU job that they would believe God answered their prayers if Baba didn’t get it.

Hon. Caleb Amisi,Mp

“Kenya Kwanza, confused lieutenants are highly disappointed that Raila Odinga is criticising the government. Ruto is running halters kelter around Africa not to give Raila a job but to get rid of him from the political scene so that Kenyans can be molested properly.

“Lillian London:

“You cannot and you will NEVER gag Raila Odinga because of the AU Chairmanship. That’s Blackmail. He remains a true leader and he’s not known to be anybody’s puppet. No”

Abuga Makori EGH, MBE:

“Raila Odinga’s speech in Mukuru kwa Reuben portrays him as a man who loves incitement; at the time, his patriotism, Pan-Africanism and nationalism ideals are under test. The problem is, there are a bunch of lazy politicians who still want to misuse him in 2027. Sad.

Salama.Ngure:

“BABA is back those oppressors who thought they have pocketed him through AU chair are scared, mutanjua hamun.

Peter Kariuki:

“Raila Odinga must respect President William Ruto. Raila is back to the streets insulting the president. Ruto must revoke his AU support for Raila..
