East Africa Spectre Limited, a gas plant owned by Azimio leader Raila Odinga, was attacked on Monday after unknown persons stoned a section of the property.

In videos obtained, a number of windows were shattered with stones littering the premise’s entrance.

Another CCTV footage shows a number of about 20 people throwing stones outside the gate.

Humphrey Waswa, the security and safety manager at the company, said that the persons arrived at the premise on motorbikes and started throwing stones for about 30 minutes before police officers arrived and dispersed the crowds.

“They were being supported with four unmarked vehicles (land cruisers) and we suspect their target was our Managing Director because her office has been most damaged,” he said.

A further probe into the matter is underway.
