The Azimio-based signature collection website is back after it suffered a technical hitch.

The website was launched to collect signatures to show public dissatisfaction with President William Ruto’s administration.

The link; http://Tumechoka.net takes you to a page where you can fill in your ID number, first name, phone number (optional), and constituency.

In the restored website, Azimio has notably also changed the domain of the website to .net from the initial http:/www.tumechoka.com.

Earlier, the website was down and could only display templates with no tabs for signature collection.

ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna claimed that there were attacks on the website.

Speaking on Monday during Azimio’s press conference in Nairobi, Sifuna said that they have faced more than 1,000 attacks on the website.

“They are crying and saying the signature drive is going nowhere, but they are actively sabotaging the collection of signatures,” he said.

“We have had over 1,000 attacks on our website that are being used for collection of signatures.”

The SG added that the attackers had cloned the website to confuse Azimio supporters.

On July 11, Azimio leader Raila Odinga launched a public website for the collection of 10 million signatures.

“This is part of the campaign of resistance, the civil disobedience and citizens’ actions that we have decided to pursue to force Ruto and his regime to respect and listen to the people,” Raila said.

The move is in a bid to get public support for their aggressive campaign against the Kenya Kwanza administration.
