Kasarani Member of Parliament Ronald Karauri has promised to give blogger Edgar Obare Ksh10,000,000 for what he termed a simple task of releasing alleged nude videos that he claims exist.
In a video posted on X on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, Karauri clarified that he is straight and dismissed the allegations as fabricated.
The MP was responding to online claims suggesting that he had been involved in an intimate relationship with a man and that explicit photos and videos recorded during the alleged encounter could be leaked.
“I usually don’t address nonsense, but for this one, I will speak out. I am extremely straight. If I am going to have issues, maybe it is with women. I am very blessed, but maybe women are the ones who bring troubles to my life,” Karauri said.

He hinted that the allegations could be politically motivated.
“Maybe it is the political season, and people have some agenda they want to push. Do not be scared. Kama ni kitu ya siasa, let us meet in the ring,” he added.
Karauri directly challenged Obare, insisting that the story was fabricated. “So Edgar Obare, this story of yours is very fabricated, and you know it yourself,” he said.
Ksh10M challenge
In a dramatic turn, the MP claimed that instead of being extorted, he would offer money if the alleged material is released publicly.

“What I am going to do, instead of you extorting me, I am going to give you money to share the video so that we can verify. After that, I have Ksh10M for you,” Karauri said.
He added that since he believes no such video exists, he plans to redirect the money elsewhere.
“Since I know that video does not exist, I will use this money for my foundation, Ksh8,000,000 for my foundation and Ksh2,000,000 for the Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer fight,” he stated.
The remarks have sparked debate online, with supporters terming the move bold while critics question the escalating war of words.
Neither Obare nor his representatives had issued an immediate response by the time of publication.
