Ruto appoints Atwoli, Mbarak to seven-member selection panel for DPP recruitment

President William Ruto has gazetted a seven-member selection committee for the recruitment of the next Director of Public Prosecution.

In a gazette notice dated June 21, Central Organization of Trade Unions boss Francis Atwoli and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission CEO Twalib Mbarak, are among the seven.

Others are Mary Kimenye, Shadrack Mose (solicitor general), Mary Maungu, Roseline Odede and Richard Obwocha.

The appointment comes a few days after former DPP Noordin Haji took over as the new National Intelligence Service director general.
