President William Ruto arrived in Namibia on Saturday for the memorial service of late President Hage Geingob.

Geingob, 82, died at Lady Pohamba Hospital in Windhoek on February 4th weeks after he was diagnosed with cancer.

He is set to be buried on Sunday at the Heroes Acre.

In his message of condolence, Ruto earlier condoled the late president’s family for their loss while celebrating Geingob as a distinguished leader who served with diligence.

“He was a believer of a unified Africa and strongly promoted the continent’s voice and visibility at the global arena,” he wrote on February 4.

“May God give the people of Namibia strength and courage during this difficult period.”
