“The expansion of funding in demand-driven, innovative, and low-cost water and hygienic sanitation projects across the country, especially in small towns like Narok, will increase access to sustainable sanitation, help fight water-borne diseases besides accelerating the growth of such areas,” he said.

The President also commissioned the Suswa Water Project in Narok East which will supply at least five million litres of water a day to more than 40,000 households in the area.

He was accompanied by Governors Patrick Ole Ntutu (Narok) and Joseph Ole Lenku (Kajiado).

“We will sit down with your leaders and identify areas that need urgent intervention so that we can build water pans for domestic use,” he told Narok residents.
