Bien Aime Baraza, a member of the celebrated band Sauti Sol, is gearing up for an electrifying collaboration with one of Congo’s finest musicians, Fally Ipupa.

This announcement comes as Bien continues to release impressive solo music following Sauti Sol’s hiatus in 2023.

In a recent interview with Nairobi News, Bien revealed that his upcoming single will be a Lingala track featuring Kenya’s beloved Congolese artist.

“I was in Congo shooting some music there. I have also done collabos in Rwanda. Next week I am also releasing a huge collabo. It will be a great song on 5th June. I have worked with people’s favourite musician from Congo,” he shared.

He has since unveiled photos from his upcoming collabo with Fally Ipupa.

Bien expressed his gratitude for the support from his Kenyan fans, who have embraced his solo projects enthusiastically.

“I feel blessed having fans who support your music, they anticipate your music and even do TikTok challenges with your music. This is something to be proud about,” he stated.

On what fuels his musical creativity, Bien explained that his inspiration comes from the world around him and the experiences of those close to him.

“Everything that happens around me and what people are going through. Currently, I am planning on releasing music that is only about good vibes, not life struggles and all that. I will be encouraging people to be happy. Life is already tough. The song is about dancing and celebration.”

Bien also touched on the progress of his “Bald Men Association,” a light-hearted yet impactful initiative he champions.

“Bald Men is still recruiting people. This year we will have a gala dinner for bald men to do some scholarship programs. It will be a charity and not just an association online. It needs to be doing some courses. We will be walking the journey together,” he explained.

Highlighting the importance of social media in today’s music landscape, Bien urged fellow musicians to embrace platforms like TikTok for their outreach and engagement potential.

“I keep seeing people doing my songs on TikTok. Artists should evolve with the digital transformation. Especially those from my generation. Grow with the time and use them to your advantage. I don’t know how to earn through the platform but there was a time we went on a Live session and we were given about Sh 15,000 as gifts. It’s a great platform and even when I will need people to support me, I will go there.”

Despite the buzz around his solo endeavours, fans of Sauti Sol are eager to know if there are any collaborations with his bandmates on the horizon.

Bien clarified their current status.

“Don’t expect any collabo from Sauti Sol yet but we are still in great friendship. We hang out together many times,” he said, reassuring fans of the strong bond between the group members.
