Are female Tv presenters cursed? Many of them have landed in trouble with the law or found themselves embroiled in one scandal or another.

Speaking to the Iko Nini Podcast, Shix was asked to weigh in on whether TV girls are cursed.

“Tunaangaliwa, you know we are all humans and we all have feelings and that’s why unapata siku hizi watu wengi wana kuwa defensive sana , kwa social media, as in ukiniatack nakuattack, because watu wamekuwa wakinyamazia, and its not just the female side, but also kwa maboys, mnatakiwa pia mnazua unajua?”

Adding her defense that they are judged differently from other women, Shix said,

“So for females, it becomes really tough because when it comes to drinking alcohol, I want to go out but because I am a public figure, mmezoea kuniona kwa public kwa screeens, there is a way I’m supposed to behave which is true because at the end of the day, I am also a role model to someone but then we all make mistakes as humans its natural to you know.”

She continued that the tough judgment from social media has been heavy on them.

“Ni kawaida but you see sasa si huhandwa zaidi coz an ordinary girl can do what I am doing but because she is not famous hatahandwa vile mi nitahandwa. So at the end of the day no coz jina inajulikana that’s why watasema madame wa media, tutawekwa kwa hiyo cluster, we are in.”

So what does she think is happening about TV personalities especially those accused of heinous acts, what’s happening in this tv industry?

“Its coz anajulimana, coz Im in the publci eye, its just that. Ni nyinyi mnafanya zikuwe extrmeem im human,” she shared.

Former media personality Jackie Maribe and her ex-lover Joseph Irungu (Jowie) have a case to answer in the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani, who was brutally murdered on the night of September 19, 2018, at Lamuria Gardens Apartment in the Kilimani area of Nairobi

Defence hearing will be on May 11 and 12, 2023. Justice Grace Nzioka found that the prosecution had adduced evidence to warrant putting the two accused persons on their defense.

Jackie fell out with many of her former media friends after Maribe was accused of killing businesswoman Monica Kimani.

Below are some comments from Kenyans who watched the podcast.

NdondiAfrika I disagree na Shix. Kuna actresses kibao wenye wako visible. Why aren’t they affected with this supposed curse? Tangu enzi za Kasavuli, Belinda Obura, Lilian Muli, Kyalo, Terryan Chebet etc…hawa TV girls woote wamekua na sex scandals and almost 100% of them hawana stable marriages. At best they are just babymamas for some married guys

FlywithDerrick People being killed and others getting into cults etc, si extreme coz we’re humans ?
