KCB scrum half Samuel Asati expressed his satisfaction with the seamless shift from playing 15s rugby to sevens in preparation for the Olympic Games in Paris, France.

Asati spoke while the team is undergoing training at their residential camp in Miramas, France, highlighting the encouragement and assistance he is receiving from the team’s coaching staff and fellow players. He anticipates a successful and noteworthy performance at the upcoming games in Paris.

“It has been smooth because of the support I’m getting from the coaches and my teammates. We are working hard to ensure we are ready for the games and I believe we have what it takes to make Kenyans proud,” said Asati

Asati will be the team’s main playmaker at Paris, a role he is excited to play.
“I’m enjoying the role that I have been given by the technical bench. I know the teams pace will be dictated by how I perform in that role, so I want to give my all and make the team proud,” added Asati.

Kenya is pooled alongside Samoa, Argentina and Australia believes they have what it takes to stop the global giants.
“We played Samoa in the Challenger Cup; it’s a team that we are familiar with. The other teams are also very good so we understand how much we need to work to be perfect in the entire departments ahead of the assignment.”
