Kenyan singer and songwriter Nadia Mukami has firmly dismissed claims that her latest music is aimed at her partner, Ali Yusuf, widely known as Arrow Bwoy, urging fans and bloggers to stop linking her songs to her personal relationship.

In a video shared on her official Instagram account on Friday, April 3, 2026, the singer responded to online speculation about her new track Ex Harudiwi, stating that the assumptions started as soon as she teased the release, with blogs suggesting the song was directed at the father of her children.

“I want to say something regarding my new song, Ex Harudiwi, so ever since I teased the song and I have been promoting that I am releasing it, I saw bloggers and blog posts; watu wanaandika, ‘Nadia Mukami writes a song that sparks sijui what Arrow Bwoy,’” Mukami said.

Mukami expressed frustration over what she described as a pattern, where several of her songs, including Kipepeo and Wozza, have been repeatedly linked to her relationship.

“From Kipepeo to Wozza yani so many songs ambazo mimi nikiandika to ex harudiwi; lazima mtaje tu baba Kai,” she added.

Respect for Arrow Bwoy

The singer went on to make it clear that she would never use her music to attack the father of her children, emphasising the respect she holds for him.

“I want to categorically state that I cannot write a song kumpasha baba ya watoto wangu, mtu ambaye mimi alifanya nikaitwa mama Kai,” she added.

Mtu ambaye alifanya mimi nikaitwa mama Kiya, mtu alifanya mimi nikaitwa mama boys siwezi na haitakuja tokea hata siku moja, that is the father of my kids.”

She further stressed that regardless of their relationship status, respect would remain unchanged.

Siwezi kumpasha kwa wimbo; it shall never happen,” Mukami said.

Hata tukuwe tumewachana; huyo heshima yake ipo.”

Warning to propagandists

Calling on the propagandists to stop dragging Arrow Bwoy into narratives surrounding her songs, Mukami clarified that her music is inspired by broader societal experiences rather than personal attacks.

“So when I write music mimi ni kioo cha jamii, I write a reflection of what is happening in the society, so naomba mumupumzishe baba Kai na mumupee heshima yake,” she stated.
