The state has been ordered to produce Nairobi City County Johnson Sakaja’s key liaison person Osman Khalif Abdi in court.

Osman’s whereabouts have remained unknown since his abduction at a mall in Nairobi on November 10, 2023.

High Court Judge Chacha Mwita has now directed the Attorney General and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to produce Osman in Milimani law court or any other court on November 17, 2023.

The court further ordered that if the two state bodies do not produce Osman they should show cause why he should not be released.

The orders were issued after his wife Yasmin Osman moved to court under a certificate of urgency.

The former South C MCA and Nairobi Liaison Officer was allegedly taken by five gunmen inside a mall in Westlands at around 5 pm. They were reportedly using a double-cabin vehicle.
