Rapper Stevo Simple Boy has opened up about how he met his wife, Brenda, revealing the humble and genuine beginnings of their relationship.
According to Brenda, their love story began unexpectedly during a TikTok live session.
“I first saw him at Utalii College. Alikuwa live TikTok, nikam-add kwa live alafu akani-DM akasema tutaongea baadaye,” she recalled at an interview with Obinna TV on October 22, 2025.
After chatting online, the two planned to meet in person. “Nikasema tutapanga siku tutaonana. Alafu akanipatia directions nikaenda kumuona Utalii College. Nilienda na gari ya my former manager,” she added.
Their first meeting, however, left Brenda a bit confused.
“Kwanza alikuwa ananiconfuse juu sauti yake na machabe ilikuwa inafanana,” she said with a laugh.
After the brief encounter, Stevo invited her for another meeting at a later date.
Brenda shared that she informed her sister about the plans, though her sister was initially concerned. “Nikaambia sister yangu naenda kuona Stevo. Hiyo siku hatukuwa na classes. Sister yangu akaniuliza kama namjua, alikuwa worried hadi hiyo siku. Nikamwambia wacha tu niende, so nikakutana na yeye but sikutense sana,” she explained.
On their second meeting, Stevo went out of his way to make her feel at home.
“Wakanitumia pesa ya Uber nikaenda kwake. Akanipikia ugali sukuma alafu akaanza kuniambia venye ako single, anataka mtu atampenda venye ako,” Brenda shared.
She was touched by his simplicity and sincerity, despite his modest living conditions.
“Hakukuwa na vitu kwake. Alikuwa na viti za kitambo na zilikuwa second-hand, nikapata nguo chafu nikamwoshea hadi duvet. Alikuwa anaishi na brother yake,” she said.
The wedding
This comes a few weeks after Stevo Simple Boy tied the knot with his fiancée, Brenda, in a beautiful church wedding that has since melted the hearts of many online.
Stevo confirmed the wedding in an Instagram post on Monday, October 6, 2025, sharing lovey-dovey photos of him and Brenda as they exchanged vows in what appeared to be an intimate and joy-filled celebration.
The photos showed the ‘Ndio Maanake’ crooner rocking a full white glitter-adorned suit paired with black shades, while Brenda stunned in a flowing white gown and veil that gracefully revealed her baby bump.
The two appeared overjoyed, with some of the pictures showing Stevo lovingly kissing his bride, while others captured tender moments of them holding hands as Brenda slid a ring onto his finger.
In his social media post, Stevo expressed gratitude for the milestone, describing the wedding day as one filled with happiness and divine favour.
He also reflected on the beauty of finding love and companionship, referencing the biblical verse that underscores marriage as a blessing from God.
“Jana ilikua siku kubwa na ya furaha kwa Harusi ya faragha Na mke wangu brenda, mungu atuzidishie. He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favour from the Lord. Proverbs 18:22,” Stevo wrote.
