The burial of Kenyan Gengetone and Arbantone musician Stoopid Boy drew deep emotion on Wednesday, September 16, as his two young children stood near his coffin and were introduced to the crowd of mourners gathered at his mother’s home in Miharati, Kipipiri, Nyandarua County.
A video circulating on TikTok captured the sombre yet charged atmosphere at the outdoor ceremony, where a ‘Woods Funeral Services’ tent and a coffin were visible in the background.
An interviewer held a microphone for the two children as onlookers pressed in around them, capturing one of the most emotionally raw moments of the day.
The boy was introduced as Brown Makofi while the girl was named Debra.
The brief exchange drew applause from those in attendance, with speakers urging the crowd to pray for the children and trust that God would watch over them in the days ahead.
Who Was Stoopid Boy?
Edgar Davids Odhiambo Ochieng, known to fans as Stoopid Boy, was a 24-year-old artist behind the popular track ‘G Bag Na Jug.’
He passed away on August 27 at his home in Gotta City, Nairobi, leaving behind a wife and the two young children seen at the ceremony.
His burial brought additional grief to a family already in mourning. Stoopid Boy was laid to rest beside his elder brother, Ian Wright, who had died just months earlier in May 2026.

Despite his mainstream success in the Kenyan music scene, the turnout from fellow artists, industry figures and politicians was notably thin.
