A United Democratic Alliance (UDA) aspirant from Cherangany has melted the heart of Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi after embarking on a daring journey to meet President William Ruto, riding his bicycle.
Determined to attend the UDA aspirant’s meeting at State House, 24-year-old Nehemiah Rotich covered over 405 km on his bicycle.
Rotich, who is a student at a local institution, opted to cycle to Nairobi due to financial constraints, which left him on the verge of skipping the important meeting
His passion moved Sudi, who intervened by gifting him a new motorbike to make his movement journey easier, while also supporting him in his business and political ambitions.

“I’ve decided to gift a motorbike to Nehemiah Rotich, a 24-year-old UDA aspirant from Cherangany, after seeing his determination to attend the aspirants’ meeting at State House despite cycling over 405km on his Mamba bicycle with minimal resources. He pedalled for 5 days, surviving on ugali and mboga, driven by his passion to lead and help vulnerable families in his village,” Sudi announced on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, via his social media accounts.
Sudi highlights how the motorbike will help the aspirant
Sudi wished the young politician well in his bid to clinch the UDA ticket and join the race for Cherangany/Chebororwa Ward in the 2027 elections.
“Nehemiah, a student at Cambridge Universal College in Eldoret, aims to vie for the MCA seat in Koitugum, Chebororwa division. The motorbike will boost his business ventures and mobility as he pursues his political dreams,” he added.

“As Nehemiah Rotich sets sail on the tides of change, his spirit unbroken, I’m wishing him a victorious journey as he rides to success in the Cherangany/Chebororwa Ward,” he added.
This comes a day after another group of UDA diehards walked for three days to the party headquarters.
