Police are holding a man accused of impersonating a Kenya Power officer.

According to the authorities the suspect, identified as Emmanuel Mukira Mosabi, was arrested in Kuria West, Migori County.

Police added that they recovered a meter belonging to Kenya Power and a customer user interface.

Migori County acting manager Moses Rotich said the suspect was arrested after members of the public raised the alarm.

“He went round claiming to be an officer from Kenya Power who had been deployed to resolve an issue,” Rotich said.

Rotich said the suspect is currently in police custody waiting to be arraigned.

The arrest comes a day after another suspect was nabbed after he was found in possession of Kenya Power equipment at Mukuyu area in Uriri, Migori County.
