Two suspects linked to a gruesome murder of a 39-year-old man in April have been arrested.
The two including the wife of the deceased and his suspected lover were nabbed in Kayole, Nairobi.
Reports indicate that the deceased, Richard Ondieki. was first hacked before his body was dismembered.
He went missing on April 14, 2023, before some of his body parts – head and arms – were discovered dumped in sewage two kilometres from Saika in Kayole where he resided.
This is according to his uncle James Ongechi.
“Richard was missing for two weeks and that’s when we contacted the wife for some explanation. She claims that her husband packed his clothes and left his home and moved in with his lover and that was the last time he was seen. We were not aware of the said lover and she did not give us more details,” he said.
On his part, Douglas Makori the area Nyumba Kumi chairman stated that the two suspects had an affair.
“This man was so involved with the family such that you could not tell who the husband was between them unless you knew them closely. He would play around with Richard’s last born and was often with the wife in the house especially when the husband was not around,” Makori revealed.
The remains of the deceased lie at Nairobi City Mortuary.
