Suspects in murder of Wells Fargo manager Willis Ayieko appear for pre-trial

Three suspects who were arrested in connection with the murder of Wells Fargo Human Resource Manager Willis Ayieko on Monday appeared at the Siaya High Court for a pre-trial conference.

Victor Ouma Okoth alias Sisco, Duncan Ochieng alias Otuchi and Samuel Onyango alias Jaboda, who were arrested in October 2024, appeared before Siaya High Court Judge David Kemei.

The accused persons who had denied involvement in the murder of the Wells Fargo boss applied for bail through their lawyers as the hearing continues.

However, Justice Kemei rejected the application and directed that the three be remanded at Kodiaga Maximum Prison as they wait for the hearing which is slated for of May 26 and 27, 2025.

The court further directed that second accused person, Duncan Ochieng, be transferred from his current remand station, Siaya GK Prison to Kodiaga Maximum Prison in Kisumu County.

On the bail application of the third accused, Justice Kemei said that he will give a ruling on whether the bond shall be granted or not by of April 8, 2025.
