Suspended Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Terry Ramadhani has landed a new role in government in the latest appointments made by President William Ruto.
The Head of State named Ramadhani as Kenya’s deputy ambassador to India in the appointments announced on Wednesday night by State House Chief of Staff Felix Koskei.
Ramadhani was hounded out of office in May following claims of alleged impropriety within KEMSA regarding a flawed procurement process that left the country on the verge of losing Ksh3.7 billion worth of anti-Malaria nets from the Global Fund.
Dr Andrew Mutava Mulwa was appointed acting CEO in far-reaching changes that saw Josephine Mburu, the Principal Secretary for State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, and the entire KEMSA board fired.
Ramadhani is among 14 new deputy ambassadors appointed to various countries.
President Ruto also nominated and redeployed ambassadors in the new changes. The nominees and appointees are listed below.
