Szoboszlai: Liverpool move is ‘big step’ in my career

Dominik Szoboszlai has revealed that it was the right time to take the next step in his budding career by signing for Liverpool.

The Reds confirmed the £60m capture of the Hungarian on a five-year deal from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.

He become’s Jurgen Klopp’s second summer signing after the arrival of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton for £35m.

“It’s a really historic club, really good players, good coach,” he said.

“For me, it was perfect to make the next step in a club like this. The fans, the stadium, everything is really good.”

The 22-year-old guided Leipzig to the German Cup glory last season.

The attacking midfielder made 31 appearances, scoring six goals and registering eight assists last season.
