Terence Creative has launched a push to help a man who was caught on camera breaking down after auctioneers seized his property.
The content creator has appealed to the public to support the businessman financially amid the challenges that have seen him lose property valued at Ksh10 million over a debt of Ksh1.5 million.
Terrence hosted the businessman and shared a video in which he detailed his plight at the hands of auctioneers on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
“There is a video I posted of a man who was in the company of his children as he went to auctioneers who had taken his vehicle,” Terence said, referring to the video showing a distraught Rufus breaking down with his children comforting him.
What really happened? Rufus explains his truth
According to Terrence, available information indicates that the man approached the auctioneers to express his concern that, despite having a loan of just Ksh1.7 million, the auctioneers seized property worth more than Ksh8 million.

Despite Rufus presenting the Ksh 1.7 million to the auctioneers in a bid to settle the debt and recover his property, the auctioneers refused to take the money.
“Gari Zangu zimechukuliwa mbili. Two trucks valued at Ksh43.5-4 million each, coming to more than Ksh 8 million,” Rufus said.
Rufus explains the presence of children in school uniforms
Rufus appealed to the auctioneers to recover their money from the sale of the assets and at least give him what remains to be able to provide for his family, but the company declined, a move which he has since maintained is an injustice.
The presence of children dressed in school uniform was conspicuous in the video, which showed Rufus lying on the floor in pain with his family comforting him.
Rufus explained that his children had been sent home over school fees, and he opted to go to the auctioneers.
Rather than stay with them at home, he had them accompany him to the auctioneers, hoping to get some money from the sale of his two trucks to meet his needs.

Armed with papers to back his claim, Rufus detailed that he even went to the auctioneers with the amount, but they declined to accept the money and instead insisted on retaining the property.
Rufus appealed for support to provide for his family and take his children to school.
He provided information through which the support can be channelled and appealed to lawyers to support him in pursuing justice.
