The body of a seven-year-old boy, a PP1 pupil at Ngorika Special School, was discovered in a well in the Ngorika area of Nyandarua County after being missing for five days. The boy was last seen walking home from school on Tuesday, October 9, but never returned. His family reported him missing, and the incident was shared on social media to help find him. On Monday night, his body was found floating in a well in the Wiyumiririe area. Police have launched investigations, considering the possibility of murder.
In a separate incident, police are investigating the murder of a 63-year-old man, Kakungu Muteti Mbusu, whose body was discovered on a farm in Sultan Hamud, Makueni County. The body, which had deep cuts on the face, back of the head, and right hand, was found by workers near a greenhouse owned by a former senior police officer. The body was taken to Sultan Hamud sub-county mortuary for a postmortem.
In Marimanti, Tharaka Nithi County, 47-year-old Joseph Mwangangi was found dead in his house, with his body soaked in blood. He had a deep cut on the forehead, extending to both lips and fingers. His body was taken to Marimanti Level Four hospital for preservation and autopsy.
In another case, police in Gem Wagai sub-county are investigating the death of 78-year-old Bartholomew Obita Odera, whose naked body was found in a murram quarry in Ulamba sub-location, North West Gem. Villagers discovered the body and reported it to the authorities. Police suspect the man was murdered elsewhere and his body dumped in the quarry. His body was moved to Siaya County Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem to determine the cause of death.
