A funeral service in South Africa was suddenly thrown into chaos when a swarm of bees attacked mourners gathered at a cemetery.
A video shared by the @MDNnewss X account on 5 October 2026 captured the incident.
The footage was recorded from inside a parked vehicle and showed mourners running in different directions as they tried to escape the bees.
Mourners run for safety
Women could be seen covering their heads with jackets and bags while running past graves.
Men wearing suits also ran towards parked cars and other areas where they could find shelter.
People inside the vehicle recording the incident could be heard laughing and commenting as the mourners rushed away from the bees.
The unexpected attack turned what was meant to be a solemn funeral service into a chaotic scene as reported by Briefly News.

The user claimed that bees once attacked people who were allegedly responsible for a person’s death during the funeral. The user said the bees stung the alleged culprits one by one as the coffin was being lowered.
