A fire broke out early Saturday morning, destroying property of unknown value at Muvuti Secondary School in Machakos County. The blaze, which started at dawn, razed a dormitory housing 165 Form 2 students. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, according to Muvuti Chief Benjamin Ngomoli.

The incident has prompted a police investigation, coming just two weeks after a riot by students at the school. Authorities are working to determine the cause of the fire and whether it is linked to the previous unrest.
