The Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match between Kakamega Homeboys and Kariobangi Sharks was halted midway due to heavy rain on Sunday, September 29, 2024. The game was stopped in the 58th minute after the Mumias Complex playing field became flooded.
At the time of the stoppage, Kariobangi Sharks were leading, thanks to a goal from new signing Ally Salum in the 46th minute. The match will resume on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 1 PM at the same venue, as confirmed in a statement from Sharks: “As a result of heavy downpour, the match ended prematurely and will resume at the 58th minute tomorrow at 1 PM. Ally Salum had us ahead in the 46th minute.”
Sharks have had an impressive start to the season, remaining unbeaten in their first three matches and scoring six goals in their last two games. Meanwhile, Homeboys are still searching for their first win, having drawn twice and lost once. Both teams will aim to showcase their skills when the match resumes.
