One person was fatally shot in Rongo, Migori County on Tuesday, raising the official death toll from anti-government demonstrations in the region to 12.

Medical staff from Rongo Sub County, who wished to remain anonymous, confirmed to Citizen Digital that the individual died from excessive bleeding after being shot in the neck.

Additionally, the medical team reported that nine people have been admitted to the facility with various gunshot wounds, while two police officers
