Police are investigating three separate death incidents in Makueni, Baringo, and Murang’a counties.
In Kilome, Makueni County, authorities are looking into the sudden death of 44-year-old Benjamin Muuo. His body was discovered outside his home, and it is suspected that he may have accidentally fallen from the roof, causing instant death. His body showed visible injuries around the mouth. The scene was processed, and the body was taken to the Kilungu Sub-County Hospital mortuary for preservation pending an autopsy.
In the Bosoni area of Makueni County, police received a report about a lifeless body found on a feeder road. The man, identified as Eric Okindo, appeared to have been intoxicated while walking home. His body was discovered in a ditch with no visible injuries except for some bruising on the forehead. The scene was documented, and his body was moved to the Gucha Level Four Hospital morgue awaiting an autopsy.
In Marigat, Baringo County, authorities are investigating the death of 75-year-old Kandagor Chirchir, who had been ill for some time and passed away while lying in bed. His body was transferred to the Baringo County Referral Hospital mortuary for an autopsy.
In Murang’a South, residents of Makuyu experienced a fire on Sunday at the Makuyu Golf Club. Officers on patrol noticed the flames, which had already burned grass. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
Meanwhile, in Matungu, Kakamega County, police intercepted a vehicle on the Busia-Kakamega road. When the driver tried to flee back towards Busia, officers fired two rounds at the rear left tire. The driver was apprehended, and a search revealed contraband including 150 dozen bottles of Simba waragi, suspected to be alcohol, and four loaves of bread.
