Officers from Kasagam Police Station in Kisumu County have apprehended three individuals suspected of robbing mourners at the homestead of the late Susan Achieng’ Otieno.

In a post on X, the National Police Service (NPS) indicated that the suspects targeted the mourners in Daraja Mbili, Manyatta area.

One of the mourners contacted the officers, who swiftly responded by arriving at the scene. With the assistance of the community, the officers arrested three individuals while their accomplices fled.

The police have since launched investigations to apprehend the remaining suspects.

“The National Police Service commends the community’s vigilance and appeals for any information that may lead to further arrests,” read the post.
