Arsenal goalkeeper, Matt Turner has left Mikel Arteta’s side to join Nottingham Forest in a permanent transfer this summer.

The Gunners disclosed this in a statement via its website on Wednesday.

This is coming less than a few days before Arsenal’s Premier League opener with Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Reacting, Arsenal’s Sporting Director Edu was quoted by the club’s website as saying: “On behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to thank Matt for his contribution to Arsenal and wish him and his family all the best in their new chapter.”

“He is leaving with our best wishes to join Nottingham Forest.”

Turner had joined Arsenal from MLS side New England Revolution in June 2022.

The 29-year-old shot-stopper made seven appearances in all competitions for Arsenal, keeping four clean sheets from those matches.
