Arsenal have tabled a £9.3m bid to sign Christian Norgaard from Brentford, according to the UK Mirror.

The Gunners are looking to bolster their options in midfield this summer and regard Norgaard as a cost-effective target.

Jorginho has already joined Flamengo, after departing on a free transfer, while Thomas Partey’s future remains uncertain.

Partey’s current deal will expire next week and the Ghanaian is increasingly looking likely to leave Arsenal as a free agent too.

Arsenal are on the verge of completing the signing of Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, having agreed terms with the LaLiga club.

Zubimendi’s deal will be formally announced next week, but the club are still looking out for market opportunities.
