Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, has revealed that they are close to reaching an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur to sell Clement Lenglet.

Lenglet spent the 2022/2023 season on loan with the Premier League side.

However, Laporta has confirmed they expect to reach an agreement over a permanent move this summer.

“I think that we will reach an agreement for Lenglet with Tottenham.

“Kessié future? We don’t know formally. If he wants to leave, we will respect it — but he can be very useful for Barça,” Laporta told La Vanguardia.

It is understood that Lenglet is available this summer for as little as £5 million.

The 28-year-old French defender would provide new Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou with a left-footed option at centre-back.
