Chelsea defender, Marc Cucurella has urged Spain forward Nico Williams to snub Barcelona and join the Blues.

Cucurella and Williams are international teammates with the Spain national team.

The pair are currently with the Spain national team at the ongoing Euro 2024.

Williams, who currently plays for LaLiga side Athletic Bilbao, has been linked with Barcelona.

However, Cucurella believes the 21-year-old would be a ‘great signing’ for Barcelona, adding that everything is easier with him.

“He is a great player, he is bringing out all his potential,” Cucurella told SPORT when asked about Williams.

“It is a source of pride that he is on our team, that he is our teammate and with players like him everything is easier.

“He would be a great signing [for Barcelona], but it all depends on what he wants. I have been telling him to sign for Chelsea.

“In the end everything depends on him, he is very young, with a lot of experience. I think he will be a great player.”
