Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has admitted Joao Cancelo could return to Barcelona next season.

Cancelo spent the last year on loan with the LaLiga side.

The defender left City after falling out with Guardiola.

However, Cancelo is set to return to the Premier League champions, except the two clubs agree a fresh deal.

“It has to be the best for everyone,” said Guardiola about Cancelo’s future.

“The two clubs will sit down. He is our player and, if an agreement is not reached, he will have to return in the pre-season.

“If he wants to stay [at Barcelona], and the clubs agree, it will be done again.”
