Former Liverpool man, Danny Murphy has insisted that Chelsea’s new summer signing, Nicolas Jackson is not ready.

Murphy fears Jackson will struggle to earn a starting spot in Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino’s preferred XI next season.

Chelsea recently signed Jackson from Spanish La Liga side Villarreal.

Speaking on Vibe with Five, Murphy said, “He [Jackson] is not ready, but I have seen some super finishing from him [Christopher Nkunku] last season but I am not sure where he is going to play.”

Chelsea sealed a £35 million deal for the Senegalese international who joined the Blues on an eight-year contract.
