Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has said he is ‘happy’ being a Blues player amid reports linking him with a return to Barcelona.

Cucurella said this while insisting that he has not thought of returning to Barcelona.

The 25-year-old, who has played for Barcelona in the past, joined Chelsea in 2022 from Brighton.

There have been rumours that the Spain left-back could return to Barcelona this summer.

Asked if he had considered the possibility of returning to Barca, Cucurella told COPE: “Today I don’t even think about it; it doesn’t even cross my mind. I think that’s already happened.

“You never know what can happen, but I’m not thinking about that. At Chelsea, I have had some difficult years, but I’m happy and my family is comfortable.”
