#Transfer: Maatsen to leave Chelsea for EPL rivals in £37.5m deal

Chelsea defender, Ian Maatsen, is close to joining Aston Villa.

According to The Athletic, Maatsen could be playing in the Premier League next season.

The 21-year-old spent the last campaign on loan at Borussia Dortmund.

Maatsen impressed with the Bundesliga side, helping them reach the Champions League final.

Dortmund wanted to keep him on a permanent deal, but look to have been beaten to his signature by Aston Villa.

The transfer fee is believed to be around £37.5million.
