Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is now on his way out of Old Trafford after the Red Devils accepted a loan offer from Lorient for the Dutchman.

The former Ajax midfielder moved to Manchester United in a £34 million deal in 2020.

His time at Man Utd was ravaged by injuries and a lack of form.

He spent six months on loan at Everton in 2022 and returned to Old Trafford after Ten Hag’s appointment.

Both men worked together at Ajax, and it was hoped he could resurrect his time at the club.

However, Ten Hag is keen on bringing in a new midfielder and has sanctioned Van de Beek’s departure.

French reporter, Santi Aouna, reported that United have therefore accepted a bid from Ligue 1 side Lorient for the midfielder.

Van de Beek must agree to the deal before any move can take place.
