Manchester United will pay Harry Maguire around £6million as he prepares to join West Ham this summer, the UK Sun reports.

Both clubs have already agreed a deal worth around £30million for the 30-year-old.

The transfer is expected to be concluded in time for Maguire to feature in the Hammers’ opener against Bournemouth.

Maguire will take a huge wage cut to make the move, but United will make the payment to help offset that.

The England centre-back has two years left on his £190,000 per-week contract at Old Trafford.

But Maguire will now earn £120,000 per-week at West Ham. This would put Maguire joint-third as the Hammers’ highest earner behind Lucas Paqueta (£150k per-week) and Danny Ings (£125,000 per-week).
