Middlesbrough will want £15 million for their hitman, Chuba Akpom who is expected to seek a move elsewhere following their failure to earn promotion to the Premier League.

Michael Carrick’s side’s promotion hopes were ended by Coventry City last week.

Akpom has caught the attention of several Premier League clubs following his impressive scoring form for Boro this season.

The 27-year-old fired 29 goals in all competitions, including 28 in the Championship, making him the division’s top scorer.

According to The Sun, Middlesbrough already know it will be difficult to keep the striker at the club and will demand £15 million from any potential suitor.

Akpom arrived at the Riverside in 2020 from Greek club, PAOK Salonica.
