Transfer: Santi Cazorla hands Xavi name of midfielder to sign for Barcelona

Former Arsenal midfielder l, Santi Cazorla, has said that Barcelona Manager, Xavi needs to sign a midfielder in the summer transfer window.

Cazorla, who currently plays for Al-Sadd SC in Qatar, believes a player in the mould of Pedri or Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva would help Barcelona next season.

Barcelona are the reigning La Liga champions after ending the 2022/23 league season with ten points clear of the closest challenger, Real Madrid.

However, the Blaugrana suffered a group-stage exit in the UEFA Champions League and didn’t make it past the UEFA Europa League playoff either.

“Xavi needs a player who’s profile is similar to Pedri’s – the style of Bernardo Silva perhaps. Xavi’s team needs players of this style. Pedri also needs rest,” Cazorla told Jijantes FC (via ReshadRahman on Twitter).
