Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has provided reasons why Premier League side, Arsenal might not sign Victor Osimhen.

The Gunners are reportedly in the market for a new striker.

Mikel Arteta’s side have consistently been linked with a move for Osimhen.

Romano, however, hinted that the huge amount of money around Osimhen will be a huge stumbling block to the transfer.

“I’ve had some fans asking me about reports in Italy suggesting that Arsenal have cooled their interest in Victor Osimhen because he could be too expensive, or that they are concerned about entering into difficult and lengthy negotiations with Napoli,” he said in his daily briefing.

“Osimhen has always been appreciated, but many clubs are cautious now waiting to understand the salary/commission package, as there’s already a very expensive release clause to take into consideration.

“This is why Arsenal are looking at other strikers, including Viktor Gyokeres, who remains on their shortlist.”

Arsenal’s London rivals, Chelsea and Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly interested in Osimhen.
